N.C. High Country Host, a not for profit regional tourism marketing
organization based in Boone, NC, offers an outstanding opportunity for a
seasoned leader and manager with tourism/travel industry experience.
The Executive Director reports to the NCHCH Board of Directors.
Responsibilities include managing the Welcome Center and staff in Boone,
preparing, presenting and implementing the annual marketing plan and
budget, directing advertising activities, public and member relations,
grant applications and administration, and liaison with public and
private organizations. Preferred education/experience includes a
bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, hospitality management or
related field, 5 to 7 years experience in tourism related field, or any
equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary will be
commensurate with experience and qualifications and includes a
