Ensemble Stage Presents Looped | 2026 Banner Elk Theatre LOOPED depicts an actual 1965 recording session with an intoxicated Tallulah Bankhead. Bankhead, who is considered to be film’s original “bad girl,” was renowned for her promiscuity and deep sultry voice. Bankhead is asked to dub a single line from her final movie “Die! Die! My Darling!,” in a sound studio. The recording session ends up lasting 8 hours. During which, Tallulah antagonizes the film editor assigned to the job, displaying all of the personality and attitude that she is famous for. 2026 Performance Dates: August 14, 15, 18, 21, 22 @ 7pm August 16, 23 @ 2pm
